The Chamber officially celebrated its holiday party this week at the Buttonwood Manor in Matawan, and it was great seeing a good turnout for this event. Our guest of honor was Christopher Patrick Conklin, an Aberdeen teenager suffering from Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (P.O.T.S.). This causes his body to be unable to counteract the effect of gravity when standing up. Though confined to his wheelchair, Christopher and his family greatly appreciated the support our members have provided during this difficult time for them. You can read more about Christopher and his condition here. Aberdeen’s own mayor, Fred Tagliarini, appeared to lend the support of the township.
Members then enjoyed a terrific meal and exchanged gifts as part of our gift swap. [click to continue…]
