Bingo Sportfishing, LLC offers multiple services to our customers depending on their needs. While our main focus and that of our Captains and crew is delivering the best fishing experience they can, we also can take your group on private cruises.
From our 3-hour sunset bay/river cruises to our 5-hour Statue of Liberty tour, we can help you plan the perfect event for your group. We also pride ourselves in helping our customers peacefully and respectfully lay their loved one’s ashes to rest in the ocean through our ash scattering at sea services.

Captain James P. Rivelli has been running and working on some of the most productive fishing boats in the area. James’ experience includes inshore trips for Fluke, Flounder, Bluefish, Sea Bass and Blackfish as well as offshore trips. Captain James has a far-reaching reputation for his offshore and inshore fishing experience and knowledge. A safety-conscious Captain, he has been fishing since childhood off the New Jersey Coast. James specializes in bottom fishing… blackfish, ling, cod, seabass.


If you’re new to Charter Boat fishing, no worries! We’ll take care of you. We provide experienced mates to get the bait for the hook, fix broken lines, and keep things running smoothly for everyone. Carmen Rivera is a long-time New Jersey resident with over 50 years in the Cliffwood Beach section of Matawan-Aberdeen. Scarlet Reserve is a Latina, minority-owned and operated CBD business.


As of recently, Scarlet Reserve has relocated to 782 Highway 34, Matawan. We were initially located in South Amboy for about a year and a half. Moving to Matawan has been absolutely one of the greatest decisions I made! The town has been very accommodating! Residents have been very friendly and welcoming. Terri (Bud Tender) and I both graduated from Matawan High School, which adds to the experience. We’ve had familiar faces from high school visit us.


We hope to continue to build a prosperous business in Matawan and expand across New Jersey. Brad Memoli is your local licensed insurance agent with Liberty Mutual. Brad dedicates his free time as a volunteer firefighter with the Cliffwood Fire Department protecting life and property. As a local insurance agent, he also dedicates his work time protecting life and property. Even though his office is in Marlton, Brad works from his home in Cliffwood.

Brad works on an individual, customer first basis. He believes in the philosophy that no two customers have the same insurance needs. “What makes my job great is I am not limited to Liberty Mutual products. I write for multiple carriers and will dedicate the time and effort to find the coverage that fits one’s needs. The main reason Brad entered the insurance business is his drive to help others around him. After graduating Monmouth University in 2015, he went on to work in the financial industry and the restaurant industry. It was a great experience working with customers on their financial objectives and providing excellent hospitality. However, Brad wanted to do more and enter an industry that allowed him to protect life and property, just like his time as a volunteer firefighter.

Originally from Middletown, Brad made a new home for himself in Cliffwood towards the end of 2020. He transferred and joined the Cliffwood Volunteer Fire Department in December of 2020. “They are probably the greatest group of guys I ever met. They were so welcoming to me when I first joined as an outside transfer. I lived my entire life in Middletown, but from the moment I met the firefighters in Cliffwood, I knew I had a new home.”

Aside from a local insurance agent and local firefighter, Brad is also very active in the community. Brandon Castro, the owner of the new Brew Coffee Bar, believes that through coffee and community, his business can become a hotspot at 133a Main St., Matawan.

“While in quarantine, I decided to take my love of coffee to the next level and become Specialty Coffee Association certified in the science and preparation of coffee brewing and tasting. I studied online and in-person through Coffee Project New York,” Castro said.

“Brew Coffee Bar focuses on American style drip coffee and pour-overs. We offer several local coffee blends that are approachable, but sustainably sourced. With offerings from light to dark roasts there is something for everyone. We also carry light pastries and locally blended teas,” he said.

As the owner of a small business, Castro expressed the importance of supporting home-grown businesses by shopping locally. He said the personalized level of service his business can provide to its customers cannot always be found at larger operations.

“It is important to shop local because those businesses are usually the ones most passionate about their craft or service; they offer a level of care and love you won’t find at big-name places … when you can stay in town or right next door, you get to know the owners and the daily workers. That particular point in time had a powerful impact and helped to direct the course of my life in ways that I continue to discover.

Welcome New Member: Fastkix Taekwondo

For over 30 years, Grandmaster Kevin Balon and his son Master Charles Ferrone have operated Fastkix Taekwondo in Spotswood, training thousands of students in taekwondo and kickboxing. Their second location at 74 Freneau Avenue in Minisink Mall will open on Monday, October 4th. Classes are offered Monday through Saturday in a state-of-the-art facility with over 2000 square feet total space including a brand-new custom training floor and a beautiful glassed-in guest waiting room.

Grandmaster Kevin Balon, an 8th Degree Nationally Certified Black Belt grew up in Old Bridge and established his first taekwondo club in East Brunswick in 1989. The school moved to Spotswood in 2007, and has trained thousands of taekwondo students, with over 150 AAU National Champions through the years. Grandmaster Balon’s son, Master Charles Ferrone is a 6th Degree Nationally Certified black belt who started training in 1995. He is the school’s training director and competition team head coach.

Fastkix offers taekwondo martial arts training for students ages 5 and up and a Mini-Master skills-based program for children ages 3 and 4. They also offer adult kickboxing which is a total body workout and a great way to get in shape fast. Welcome New Member: Alternate Ending Beer Co.

Alternate Ending Beer Co. is a destination brewpub located in the former Bow Tie Cinemas on Rt. 34 in Aberdeen. We are a friendly gathering space where people come from near and far to drink a delicious beer, have an incredible meal, and watch one of their favorite movies in our movie theater room.
All of our signature craft beer is brewed on location with a state-of-the-art brewhouse, and our specialty beers include Juicy IPA, traditional lagers, oatmeal stouts, and delicate mixed cultures.
We are SO excited about our partnership with Talula’s of Asbury Park! Talula’s will provide a casual yet vibrant menu centered around sourdough square pizza pies, which are perfect for pairing with beer. We’ll also offer a variety of non-pizza dishes including fun theater snacks such as heirloom non-GMO popcorn, quality pub grub, seasonal salads, gourmet tacos, and housemade desserts. Our handcrafted cocktail menu incorporates fresh juices, house-made syrups, shrubs and herbal tonics, and will feature a variety of cocktails, some barrel-aged and on tap!
Owner/founder Scott Novick founded Alternate Ending in the fall of 2018. Scott began home brewing in his NJ backyard about six years prior. He finally left corporate America to get a job washing kegs at Other Half Brewing Company in Brooklyn, his equivalent of playing for the Yankees. He soon joined the brewing staff at OH and worked there until the opportunity to open Alternate Ending fell into his lap. Scott intended to open a production brewery, but his alternate ending said otherwise when he learned of a liquor license for sale in Aberdeen. This liquor license allows AE to operate as a brewpub, meaning we can serve food and other liquor besides beer. Scott worked tirelessly through the COVID pandemic and surrounded himself with a strong team to bring Alternate Ending Beer Co. to Aberdeen!
Everyone at Alternate Ending is thrilled to be a part of the Aberdeen/Matawan community. In fact, many of our employees live here and some even worked at the Bow Tie theater!

The church serves the community in a variety of ministries: a Food Pantry, Thrift Shop and a Flea Market on Saturdays, beginning in May. We support the Women’s Shelter with a Holiday collection. The church sponsors both a boy scout and a girl scout troop. Our volley ball court was renovated by High School volunteers and is open to the public. We offer Rummage Sales twice a year, as well as special dinners and a Holiday Tea as fundraisers. Two districts vote here.

Our pastor, Nick Connolly, entered a life of ministry sixty years ago, first as a Jesuit for twenty-four years, the remaining years as a United Methodist pastor. The small muscles of the hands and fingers are the most important for developing handwriting skills. Our Therapists will work with your child to strengthen grasp and/ or provide adaptive equipment to improve quality of written work.

Feeding therapy is more than just “teaching a child to eat.” Our feeding certified therapists work closely with clients and their families to determine the source of the his or her difficulties and develop very specific strategies to make the entire process of eating easier and more enjoyable.

Founded in 1992, The Arcadian Chorale offers local residents the opportunity to sing and perform choral music on an advanced level at sites throughout the community, and thereby make a vital contribution to the musical and cultural life of greater Monmouth County. Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings in Matawan (Sept. through early June) at the Fellowship Hall of the
1st Presbyterian Church, Rt.34. Membership is FREE. The 80-voice ensemble is led by its Founder and Musical and Artistic Director, Marina Alexander.

Since its inception, the Chorale has undertaken a wide and challenging variety of repertory and sung at all the major venues in the NJ-NYC metro area, including multiple appearances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. It has collaborated many times with various area orchestras and choruses, and prioritized educational outreach. The group has commissioned new music and revived many neglected masterworks. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have known at an early age of what my true purpose has been in my working life. I graduated from The Swedish Institute of Massage Therapy in New York City in 1991 and have been a licensed practitioner for almost 30 years.

My career path has taken me all over the place. I had my own practice in NYC for many years and was quoted by the New York Times Magazine as being one of the “top therapists you need to go see “. After moving out to the suburbs of New Jersey, the commute seemed to be a little challenging so I decided to stay local. I have worked at a number of physical therapy offices and spas in the area and have always wanted to have my own practice here in beautiful Matawan. It’s always amazing how things work in mysterious ways and I found the perfect spot.

“My name is Shellini. I am not the same person I was a few years ago.

I battled PCOS and asthma since my teens and was at an unhealthy weight for my age. I was constantly ill, and on medication for high blood pressure. One day I made the decision to change. I started with my nutrition and a simple exercise routine. I cut my food portions in half, cut back on sugar, carbs, junk food and made an effort to walk 6 out of 7 days a week for no less than 20 mins per day. I began to see results.

Along my journey was when I discovered yoga. Yoga helped me get into better shape. I became a new and improved version of myself. I no longer took medication. I came to realize, if I could lose the weight, I could do anything I set my mind to do. I wanted to become a yoga teacher and share this gift with others. I wanted to help others in a similar way. Kin Chi Yoga was born; a warm yoga studio in Hazlet. We offer studio classes at gym prices.

What does Kin Chi Yoga mean?

Kin is Old English for family and friends. Chi is Chinese for life force energy. Yoga is Sanskrit which means union.

Owner/Director, Barbara Gonzalez is a graduate from Matawan Regional High School. She choreographed at MRHS for 11 years, receiving two Basie Awards for Best Choreography in a High School Musical. She was also an Assistant Coach for the Matawan Varsity Cheerleaders and volunteered with the Pop Warner Huskie Cheerleaders. Keeping active in the community, she has been a dance instructor for 29 years at a local dance studio and throughout New Jersey. Barbara holds a BFA from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, and is certified in Massage Therapy with a Focus on Anatomy and Physiology. Barbara is also Acrobatic Arts Certified and follows the Professional Curriculum for Acrobatic Dance.

Chashama supports artists by giving them space to create and present their work, while fostering community development through the arts.

Chashama was founded in 1995 in response to the lack of affordable space for emerging artists in New York City and now in New Jersey. Chashama partners with property owners to re-purpose unused space allowing artists and the communities in which we are engaged to flourish. The Matawan space offers a 1,000-square-foot gallery and 11 studio rentals. In addition to affordable studio space, our Space To Create Program supports artists’ creative and professional development through exhibition opportunities, annual open studios events, a visiting curators program, an online registry, professional development workshops and community art classes.

After a successful transition through the summer, Lambarri Dance Arts will host a Grand Opening on September 9th with classes beginning on September 11, 2017. Bayside Manor Assisted Living in Keansburg is celebrating its 20th anniversary. And they are holding a party to mark the occasion.

The Cappadona family, who has been in the senior healthcare business for more than 30 years, opened Bayside Manor in 1997 at its location at 7 Laurel Ave.

“We have learned so much from our residents, employees and families,” owner Joanne Cappadona said. “We are definitely one big family with a remarkable bond.”

According to the facility’s website, Bayside Manor was conceived and designed by Joe Cappadona with the help of his siblings Anthony, Elena and Joanne in 1995. Working together, the family opened the facility’s original building in 1997.

Bayside Manor is also locally owned and operated, and for the Cappadonas, it’s an advantage.

“Bayside Manor and our family have been extremely blessed,” Joanne Cappadona said. “Larger corporations don’t have the freedom to make the decisions we have here.”

Being owner-operated has also given Bayside Manor a strong focus on bonds throughout the facility, creating a welcoming environment for both employees and residents.

“Much of our staff have been long-term friends and employees,” Joanne Cappadona said. “They make Bayside Manor what it is. Bayside Manor is about strong relationships, people and friendships. Our staff always gives, always steps up and are the most compassionate employees.”

After being in service for 20 years, the Cappadonas feel it is a privilege to have met and helped numerous families. The facility currently houses 147 residents.

Brookdale Community College at Hazlet is a comprehensive educational center providing credit and non-credit courses along with a host of services, such as advising and tutoring, to support the learning process.

Located at 1 Crown Plaza in Hazlet, our facility has fourteen classrooms of which three are computer labs, one multi-disciplinary laboratory, a testing center, a student lounge and a Student Success Center complete with twenty computer stations for student and public use. Our five top majors are Business, Pre-Nursing, Education, Criminal Justice and Liberal Studies. We provide the first year courses for these majors as well as for most of Brookdale’s other majors. Classes are held from 8 am to 9:30 pm.

We have partnered with Georgian Court University to provide Brookdale students a seamless transition to a number of baccalaureate and master degree programs at the Hazlet facility. At present, GCU offers to Brookdale students and Monmouth County residents bachelor degree programs in Business Administration, Education, English, Psychology and Liberal Studies. In 2018, GCU will add a MBA program and a MS in Nursing at Hazlet.

Our non-credit offerings include a variety of healthcare-related courses some of which lead to licensure; English as a Second Language classes; GED classes for adults in need of a high school diploma; and, a Youth GED program for young adults between 16 and 24.

Reiki healing helps to remind the body, mind, and spirit of a state of wellness, at once both relaxing and energizing, and our practice of Reiki is the driving of intention to channel universal healing and light into our clients. In conjunction with its non-invasive nature, Reiki helps to promote balance and health, helping to address many physical ailments and emotional distress. It continues to be used as a complimentary practice for most common medical procedures, soothing resulting symptoms and speeding healing, and it is effective both in person and remotely through distance healing. Our medical intuitive, Jeff Carpenter, certified RMT, has demonstrated significant success in helping clients to address a variety of minor and long-term issues.

Dimensions Reiki also offers classes to introduce new people to the wondrous practice of channeling universal energy. Existing Reiki practitioners and new students alike are welcome to contact Dimensions for more information on scheduling training and attunements.


Habitat for Humanity joins the Chamber!

Habitat for Humanity RESTORE LOGOThe Habitat for Humanity in Monmouth County ReStore is “The Store that Helps Build Homes.” Located at 45 South Street in Freehold, we accept donations of new and gently used furniture, home decorator items, housewares, lighting, tools, building supplies and much more. Free pickup is available for donations of larger items.

These items are offered for sale at our store and the proceeds are used to fund our building and critical repair projects in Northeast and Western Monmouth County. It is one way we work toward achieving Our Vision: A world where everyone has a decent place to live. We offer an excellent selection of quality merchandise at great prices. Open to the public for shopping Wednesday – Saturday from 10AM – 5PM.


Woman’s Club of Matawan Celebrates 100 Years of Community Service

On April 4, 2016, the Woman’s Club of Matawan will be holding a Federation Day celebration atMatawan Woman House
their club house on Jackson Street, Matawan to recognize the club’s 100 years of service to the
community. Attendees that day will include past and present members as well as community
representatives and special New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs (NJSFWC) guests.
The guest of honor will be the NJSFWC President, Jill Passaretti of Vernon, who will address the
group. Senator Samuel D. Thompson (12 th Legislative District) will also be on hand to present a
joint Legislative Proclamation as well as Mayor Joseph Altomanto who will bring
congratulations from the Borough and Council.

The club  serves the community and the New Jersey State Federation through its
many local projects and fundraisers. These include: supporting clients and children at 180
Turning Lives Around; assisting veterans at the Menlo Park facility; providing a “wish Tree” in
the library for books for the homeless; creating blizzard bags for shut ins during inclement
weather; sponsoring food collections; presenting a “Girl of the Year” award to a
Matawan/Aberdeen High School senior and supporting the NJSFWC Special State Project, the
National Alliance on Mental Illness NAMI- NJ.

The club also sponsors a variety of fundraisers including the upcoming Afternoon Tea and
Fashion Show on April 7 and a Golf Tournament at Bella Vista Golf Course in Marlboro on May
16, 2016. The proceeds from these events will help renovate their historic 140 year old building
The Woman’s Club of Matawan is currently one of 201 clubs throughout the state and is
affiliated with the General Federation of Woman’s Club one of the nation’s oldest service
organization of volunteers headquartered in Washington DC.

Tiffani’s Vintage Closet Celebrating it’s Grand Re-Opening with a RIbbon Cutting Ceremony 12/17 at 6pm!

tiffani celebration copyTiffani’s Vintage Closet owner, Paula Agneta-Holt decided to move her boutique/high end consignment shop to Main Street, Matawan back in October.  Spending the past two months cleaning, painting and moving in/organizing  her merchandise, Paula welcomes celebrating her new look and location with all of you.  Feel free to stop by on Thursday evening December 17th between 6:00 pm — 7:30 pm to say hello, shop and enjoy some light refreshments.  Mayor Paul Buccellato  along with  some of the Matawan-Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors will be  there to officiate over the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 7 pm.
