The acknowledgment of our 50th year has been ongoing throughout 2018 at such events as our Expo, in our special 50th Anniversary business directory and now at our largest event,  our 50th Anniversary Gala and Benefit for Right Your Life and the K.E.Y.S Academy Recovery High School Partnership.  It was held on Thursday, June 14, at MJ’s Buttonwood Manor.
With the weather delivering a beautiful spring day, we were pleased to see a wonderful turnout of support as nearly 200 people gathered at MJ’s Buttonwood Manor.  We must extend our gratitude to MJ’s Buttonwood for their help and great service before and during the event.  Their staff was top-notch, the food was delicious, a cake beautifully decorated and a gorgeous room in which to celebrate.
It really turned out to be a remarkable night in which many had fun mingling and eating, dancing and posing for pictures at the photo booth and then posting them on social media.  Many enjoyed talking with the artists about their displayed work while others enjoyed taking in all the special items of the silent auction.  Perhaps most significant of the night was the great balance struck between the time taken to go through the program of the night and the time spent enjoying each other’s company.  It was such a pleasure to be surrounded by so many extraordinary people that are friends or members of our chamber.  Thank you to all who came to make the night so memorable and more importantly, a successful benefit in which approximately $6500 was raised for RIght Your Life and K.E.Y.S Academy Recovery High School Partnership.

Thank you to Adam Saber, Adam Saber Event Entertainment for doing a fantastic job providing the music and sound, to Shayn Satten, Milestone Photo Booth Rentals for providing the fun photo booth, to Suzanne Vreeland for the time spent taking all the wonderful photos throughout the event and David Sokoler, Merandex Technology Solutions for the digital ads and photo displayed during the night. We were so pleased with how much all of you added to the success of the night.

We are so grateful as well to the committee members Karen Azzarello, Paula Agneta-Holt, Marjorie Benhamou, Mike Bruno, Andrea Harrison, Kathleen Loures, Sandra Palermo, Shayn Satten, and Steven Russell for their help in planning this event, to the Chamber Board of Directors for supporting and contributing time, donations and sponsorships for the gala. Thank you to Aberdeen Township Mayor Fred Tagliarini and Matawan Borough Mayor, Joe Altomonte for helping us with the installation and presentation of two special awards.  We also want to thank the state legislators from District 12 & 13 for their sponsorship and proclamations and to Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso, Assemblyman Rob Clifton for their presence at the event. Thank you to former Lt. Governor, Kim Guadagno and to Freeholder John Curly for supporting and attending the event and for Freeholder Curly for bringing a special proclamation for K.E.Y.S Academy Recovery High School Partnership.  Thank you too, to Brookdale Community College President, David Stout and staff, MARSD Superintendent Jay Majka and the staff and board members of MARSD and K.E.Y.S Academy and Right Your Life for your immense support and presence at the gala.  We extend our gratitude to Kathleen Loures, Right Your Life for giving us tremendous time, support, energy, and ideas during the planning and setting up of the event but most importantly for shedding light on the need and immeasurable benefits of  supporting recovery and the hope that the Right Your Life programs and K.E.Y.S Academy Recovery High School Partnership are delivering every day to youth and families in the recovery process.
