The Arcadian Chorale led by Music Director Marina Alexander will perform its holiday program,
“Glorious Dawn – A Renewal of Joy!” at sites in NYC and NJ, on the following dates:
• Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 8:00 PM, with the Richmond Choral Society,
at Saint Clare’s RC Church, 110 Nelson Ave. Staten Island, NY.
• Friday, December 17 at 7:30 PM at St. Rose of Lima Church, 16 McLean St., Freehold, NJ.
• Sunday, December 19, 2021 at 4:00 PM at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church,
80 Embury Ave., Ocean Grove, NJ.
This program will feature a Vivaldi’s much beloved Gloria, RV 589, plus contemporary works by Karl Jenkins
and Dan Forrest, including the NJ premiere of his newest work, Light Beyond Shadow. The audience will
raise their voices in the traditional community carol sing. “Hallelujah” Chorus from Handel’s Messiah will be
the grand finale. The heralded chamber orchestra Simply Strings will provide expert accompaniments.
This very special “renewal of joy” is made all the richer through the partnerships Arcadian Chorale has forged
for this program. Richmond Choral Society of Staten Island, plus the chamber ensemble Clarum Sonum
from northern NJ, will be full collaborators. At the concert in Ocean Grove on December 19, the Huskapella
Chorus of Matawan High School will also be featured under the direction of its conductor, Andre Baldasserini.

As it has for many years, the Freehold Borough Arts Council will be a sponsor of the concert on Dec. 17, with
introductions offered by its President Jeffry Friedman.
As a member organization of the Freehold Borough Arts Council, NJ Choral Consortium, and Monmouth Arts,
Arcadian Chorale has presented its exciting classical music performances at many sites in the greater
Monmouth area. The ensemble celebrated its 25th anniversary in June 2018 under the inspiring direction of its
Founder and Conductor, Marina Alexander. The group is regularly invited to perform throughout New York
and New Jersey, including numerous appearances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and the NJPAC.
Please note that all COVID safety protocols will be observed as necessary. Audience members must provide
proof of COVID vaccination, observe social distancing, and may be required to wear a face mask.
